VAADA

VAADA's site had grown organically over years. Jobs, events and publications each lived in different systems, so the communications team needed developer help for routine updates. Sector members couldn't submit listings themselves. Behind the scenes, unmanaged archive URLs were placing heavy load on the server. VAADA needed a site their team could run independently, that served members properly, and that held up under real traffic.

We rebuilt VAADA on WordPress and Elementor with a purpose-built content architecture: custom post types and taxonomies for jobs, events, publications and projects, structured with ACF so every listing renders consistently. A calendar system handles recurring and multi-day events. Gravity Forms lets members submit jobs and events directly, with a payment path for non-members. We migrated the full content library, integrated membership with ChilliDB, and resolved the crawl and server-load issues at the infrastructure layer.

VAADA's communications team now publishes news, publications, jobs and events without touching a developer. Sector organisations submit their own listings, turning the site into a genuine hub for the Victorian AOD workforce rather than a static brochure. Structured content and a stable hosting configuration removed the load problems that had been affecting the old site, and the rebuild gave VAADA a platform that reflects the authority of a state peak body.
